New inspiration from new basses

Been kinda busy the last couple of weeks, but today i managed to get a couple of hours with my new shortscale bass strung with piccolo strings (+ 1 octave). With some distortion effects on my Korg PX4d which is a bass AND guitar fx processor, a new world of funky rhythm , slammning hardrock and screaming lead lines, i cant wait to practice some Blackmore, SRV, Jimi… New instruments are new inspiration :-) Speaking of new – in a couple of days a fretless bass should make its way here…. A fellow bass player introduced me to SX basses (my shortscale), very cheap “made in china” basses, but real value for money. The shortscale bass list price is 110$! And even with the additional 90$ in shipping from USA to Denmark its still cheap.

Look at their stuff - rondomusic

Is that just one of the short scale SX basses? And what strings are you using. I’ve been thinking about setting up a piccolo too.

Is there finally shining some Stanley Clarke through (which I haven´t heard from you before) or is it just the bass that just makes it sound so much Stanley. If it´s like that, I have to get one, too ;)
