Hi, thanks for the comment, glad you’re into the grooves. There’s one bit where there’s a walk-up from the low E, with a passing note of F, but the changes of place on the neck are to different positions of F# Pentatonic, utilizing those notes throughout.

Wow your one of the very coolest bass players on youtube, but does this bassline jump to a different key going to F instead of F# at one point?

Hi, thanks for the comment, praise indeed! I’m glad that you’re finding the posts inspirational, that means the lessons are useful. I’ve got more videos uploaded to youtube, (the link’s on my profile page here) and they’ll be more coming on Marlowe’s site soon.

In terms of developing style, I’ll make a post that talks about some of my influences and development.

Cheers

Hey Casimer!
I have been watching your videos a lot since you came as a guest teacher, and i find your style really inspiring for me. It seems like you have everything i’m trying to achieve on the bass! You are absolutly phenomenal!I have also been impressed of what you wrote! Is there any way i could see more videos, or lessons about how you developed your unique style?

Patricio: Hi MDK, Wow waht a great DVD... just spent a few hours learning the first few lessons... great quality and well taught... I'm very pleased with my purchase. If any improvment could be made I would only say could there be a 'repeat' funcion so that you can get a lick to play continually? or what aboutt a not showingthe BPM so that we can use the correct tempo using the drum patterns... overall a wonderful job... I look forward to more downloads in the future.... especially for IPad
