2. Your input on bass dvd?

UPDATE April 13

New split screen test for my upcoming “Beginning Slap Bass DVD”, and this time the question is:

Should I include both version of split screeens and if yes, which is the most important to show first – the one which favors the fretting hand or the one favoring the plucking hand?

Focus on left fretting hand

Focus on right plucking hand

All  below is from the old test:

THANK YOU all for your input:-), I agree that the first one that uses the whole screen area is best – but in “defense” of the second:  I was maybe ay thinking of including some tab/text in the empty black squares.

But I think that will be included on another screen.

Another thing – there will probably be NO talking at all on this DVD – just playing and closeups more “internationally”  usable 😉

ETA – probably beginning of  June

No digital downloads – if its going to get illegally copied… it will at least require some work!

Hi all

As some of you might know, Im working on a beginning slap bass DVD.

And  I want to get your opinions on “split screen” breakdowns of basslicks

So, watch the two examples of a closeup lick “breakdown” and put a comment of which format you would prefer

Other suggestions are also welcome:-)

(The final product will be in color)

cheers

Split screen test 1:
-in the same area of the screen you see all you want, both right and left hand, more easy on the eye (don’t have to look after another side of the screen to see the other hand)
-that covers all the fretboard, i think that it’s worth than a little close-up, specially if you want to show exercices that covers all the fretboard.
-in this test you enlarged the right hand close-up, a good initiative if you want to show more advanced right hand techniques.

I’ll go with the first one:) To me, it seems like the kamera can’t keep up with your thumb on test 2, so there fore i choose number 1
