James Jamerson and the other Motown bass players invented modern bass playing in Detroit back in the 60s. Cracking The Detroit Code reverse engineers the stylistic elements that the motown bass players brought to modern bass playing, and shows you how to use those stylistic elements in other settings – not just r&b.

Patricio: Hi MDK, Wow waht a great DVD... just spent a few hours learning the first few lessons... great quality and well taught... I'm very pleased with my purchase. If any improvment could be made I would only say could there be a 'repeat' funcion so that you can get a lick to play continually? or what aboutt a not showingthe BPM so that we can use the correct tempo using the drum patterns... overall a wonderful job... I look forward to more downloads in the future.... especially for IPad
