If I may offer a little respectfully….try experimenting with where you put your right hand. You get a great Mingus tone past the fingerboard right now. Try pizz w/ your fingers more parallel to the strings, and ON the fingerboard. Makes a leggato “baw-wah” sound. Very West-Coast swing.

soporific: @theRicketybones If the headstock says JBP, it's probably a JB Player Artist:-) I found a websitelink, but it's not working.
