L151 Slap bass with the “Jimi Hendrix” chord
Add to favorites The classic “Jimi Hendrix” chord or the E7#9 chord known from among other songs “Purple Haze” , here “of course” in a slap bass setting:-D
The 4 string bass version of the chord is spelled:
E – root – 0 or 12 fret E string
G# – major third – 11 fret on A string
D – flat seventh – 12 fret on D string
G – Augmented (Raised or #) ninth – 12 fret on G string

As always, a great lick Thomas. How do you manage to keep your fretting hand so ‘quiet’? I always notice that I tend to move my ring and pinkie fingers towards my thumb. Do you have any tips to help overcome this problem? It certainly hampers my finger speed. Thanks!
