L303 Slapbass with doublethumbing

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites YouTube Preview Image

Quick and dirty slap and doublethumb lick tutorial.
Notes are strictly from the E minor pentatonic scale (E, G , A,  B, D ), but im actually only using E, B and G in the lick (but in different octaves)

Just straight into Quicktime player with  macbook webcam from Sandberg bass California JJ to Tc electronic rh450 amp to Apogee soundcard.
New Fender Nickel-plated steel roundwound strings, gauge 45 -105
Its a mono recording but unfortunately saved as stereo recording, so you will only hear one side, i told you its was quick.
I will from time to time do these “low quality” recordings when i dont have patience or time for HD, audio and videoediting.
Support me by downloading the video, audio and TAB download in on package here

MarloweDK will always sound good with any bass in any style even on “quick-made” videos because his fingers sound good.. He’s a great musician and a wonderful bass player- Thanks for your work !!

Quality doesn´t matter – it´s the idea that counts – an that´s great as always – and just by the way – you´d better not play with a pink bass in cologne in germany … just kiddin´ ;-) … i wonder how many basses you have?????

Sometimes less is more, and this lick sounds and flows great! The Samberg bass sounds really good. Do they have a distributor in America?

Dug: would someone be so kind and do a tutorial on "i'll be there" by Marcus Miller? just thought i'd ask!!! thx Marlowe, i luv it here!!!

Patricio: Hi MDK, Wow waht a great DVD... just spent a few hours learning the first few lessons... great quality and well taught... I'm very pleased with my purchase. If any improvment could be made I would only say could there be a 'repeat' funcion so that you can get a lick to play continually? or what aboutt a not showingthe BPM so that we can use the correct tempo using the drum patterns... overall a wonderful job... I look forward to more downloads in the future.... especially for IPad

MarloweDK: Great to hear, enjoy it:-)

Soulburn: Finally I donwloaded the DVD, its simply amazing. I wait for more material like this. Thanks you very much! Cheers from Argentina
