Ive started to practice fingerstyle in the same way that i play with a pick – playing all the 16ths available without stop. Its quite challenging stamina-wise -try and do it without stop for just 2 minutes…

This exercise is based on the C minor blues scale (1, b3, 4, b5, 5, b7) and ive included the transcription with tablature – consider it as a small Christmas present:)

Try and play the rhythm just on one note/one string too – example in the pdf – its even harder than playing the line itself!

Hi Marlowe,

Kept me busy over Christmas this one ;-) I can’t get to the QT version, forbidden access denied, other vids no problem.

does it really makes a difference if you start with rh2? i mean, i realized that is more confortable to me to play it like that.. but what do i know, right?

Thank you Father X-mas, great stuff ! Working on this I’ve realised 2 things: 1/ I always seem to start picking with RH2 instead of RH1, and 2/ so far my maximum RH cruising speed on 16ths is no more than 70bpm… :-((( Do you reckon I should work on trying to pick 1212 ? How can I speed those lazy RH1 & RH2 ?
