L77 Doublethumbing in A minor

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

Bass lick of the day:

Cant get more DT than this:-D, im basically using my thumb exactly as a funky rhythm guitarist would use his pick – alternating up and downstrokes

A minor – tempo 110 bpm

Want the transcription + TAB for this bass lick?

Me gusta mucho el groove que le ponés cuando tocás. Eso es yo creo lo que más cuesta aprender de estas cosas.
Thank you for the example. I like it.

I notice there is a mistake in the transcription, on the 4th beat of the 3rd bar in the repeated section and also on the 1st beat of the 4th bar also in the repeated section. Where either the tab is not true to the notation or it is the other way around.. which ever you intended is not entirely clear.
Just checked , notes are right, but the tab/fret numbers have been misplaced, thx for proofing it

Thanks a lot for the sheetmusic and tab too. I think doublethumbing is one of the most difficult things to learn for slapping for rookies like me ;)
Its not really the most important technique to master (though it beats tapping IMO ;-) ), get your fingerstyle and basic slap together first

MarloweDK: No, but its totally new still (2 days) Regarding "yuotube for bassplayers" remember our "sister site" www.youplayalong.com

Bassss13: Right DK that's a good point, but i don't think many visitors have seen you can give a comment by video sending etc. I am planning on getting some record stuff soon, i work also with apple and im turning my garage band into my recorder but i need some cables, after that i would love to subscribe with video;s. With this page this site could be like, a "youtube for bass players"? sounds tempting to me =) See what you think bro!

MarloweDK: Hmm, "User licks" - thats a good idea, but let us see if anyone makes a video comment first;-)

Bassss13: hey all.. what if? visitors have licks to share too? could we make a special page in the next site? for user licks? maybe increasing the site with some profound bass licks? greetz and happy 300 DK!

MarloweDK: Usually my middle for the G string and index for D string

Marry28: Hi Thomas. Do you use tour index finger to pull up the G string when slapping? Thanks

MarloweDK: New menu item: SUGGESTION BOX - please give your input

MarloweDK: By the way Smaz and others: Its time again to reorganize/redesign the site, any suggestions are more than welcome

MarloweDK: Yes, and then the "teacher" can comment on the performance too;-)

Smaz: I've been waiting for that! Can't wait to start adding my takes on the licks.. :)
